Abstract This study aims to examine a complete service profit chain model using individual customer level data in an online context. The model includes link between customer satisfaction and financial performance. With the help of a Bangalore based online retail store, the study seeks to incorporate internal cost, activities, marketing and operational investments, and profitability in the model to understand the full service-profit chain.
