The objective of this study is to identify and estimate the transaction costs of the Indian economy covering the post independence period 1950-2000. This kind of work is non-existent for the Indian economy. Data too may not be available in the format conducive to this estimation. Nevertheless, this can be the first attempt and can be revised in the future. |
