Abstract |
HIV/AIDS is not merely a public health challenge, it is also a political, social, and economic challenge. AIDS is hindering decades of health, economic, and social progress. There is an urgent need to significantly scale up interventions that work, in both coverage and quality, to make a meaningful impact. Capacity building is very critical to address the managerial issues in HIV/AIDS prevention and control programmes. It is, therefore, necessary to build management capacity aimed at supporting HIV/AIDS programme managers and administrators in policy, planning, implementation, and monitoring activities on a regular and sustainable basis. |
