| Abstract |
Palliative care is highly disorganized in India, though the demand has been growing. A few hospitals and NGOs have taken the initiative to address this segment. The organizations providing palliative care offer different types of services, as per their own resource constraints.
The objectives of our study are to:
(i) understand the various types of palliative care services in India and to compare them with palliative care in other developing and developed countries;
(ii) identify managerial challenges in the delivery of such services; and
(iii) help the organizations in resource planning for effective and efficient palliative care services.
