Abstract Providing key RCH services to all assumes critical significance in achieving programme goals and objectives. To achieve this, the involvement of communities and non-government and private organizations is important. RCH programme implementation has focused on involvement of the private sector and developing effective partnerships to overcome some of the implementation constraints. The purpose of the study is to inform policy makers and various stakeholders about public-private partnerships and contracting out arrangements in RCH with a view to developing strategic frame leading to strengthening of these initiatives.
