Abstract |
The objectives of the study are to:
find out existing incentives or disincentives forcing farmers to grow land races in different parts of the country and estimate the cost of in situ conservation
identify the monetary and non-monetary incentives required to reward creativity in not only conserving land raves but also utilizing them for improving local productivity
document indigenous knowledge of women and men to aid characterization of land races for their specific and strategic uses
develop strategies for supporting local initiatives for in situ conservation and utilization of agro biodiversity. |
