| Abstract |
The objectives of this study are:
• To bring out facts about the evolution of joint forestry management systems and processes in West Bengal in recent times with a view to ascertaining how the property rights over forest land are changing across major stakeholders and whether and how the debatable and conflicting issues are being resolved; and
• To bring out the features of the systems being followed to facilitate preparation of a comprehensive questionnaire on various interlinked transactions across various stakeholder groups.
