This is a study of innovations in forestry and tree management. Other objectives are the range of institutional and technological choices manifested in some of the sustainable institutions of resource management such as kulhs in the Himalayan region; lessons to be learnt from some of the documented innovations in traditional as well as contemporary institutions, and technological innovations for grafting institutions in watershed management in high risk environments such as the Himalayan regions; and design experiments to enable local communities and individuals for validating innovative ideas through their own research and management? |
