The objectives of the study are to:
examine the global market for oilseeds, trends in supply and demand by countries/regions, and policies of major exporters and importers
examine the trends and pattern of growth of different edible oilseeds over time and across states and identify the sources of growth in edible oilseeds output in India
determine the impact of price and non-price factors influencing the supply response behaviour and demand for edible oilseeds and oils in the country
analyse the impact of trade liberalization and other policy changes on production, consumption, prices, and trade in oilseeds and products.
