| Abstract |
This study will:
- assess whether broadcasting "Chitrahar" with same language subtitling has any impact on enhancing the reading and writing abilities of semi-literates
-
estimate the percentage of semi-literates and illiterates and compare that with the census figures
- seek factors that are important for pushing up the semi-literates to literates
- look into specific age group needs to be targeted.
