| Abstract |
The scope of the programme is to accelerate improvements in reproductive health (RH) status through improving RH programme performance in selected countries in South and South-east Asia. The Strategic Leadership Development (SLD) initiative will enhance competency of programme leaders and managers to utilize opportunities available and address constraining forces.
The specific objectives of the proposed SLD initiative are to:
• enhance competency of programme leaders and managers in strategic leadership through sharing experiences, advanced training, self-learning, and coaching
• facilitate the practice of these competencies to achieve desired results through on-the-job support and exposure to best practices
• deepen and nurture SLD competencies through peer exchange and networking.
