This study attempts to recommend what the Indian Railways can do for the cement industry to improve logistics efficacy. The study will focus on one of the cement producing clusters and an analysis of operations at a specific client site. It will examine the production and distribution structure, both from the cluster and individual manufacturer perspective, to evolve strategies for an increased commercial role for the Indian Railways. |
