The primary scope of the work is to deveop a software that can be used for railway transportation scheduling. A basic tool has been developed. Attempts will continue to implement several custom heuristics for handling speciifc / general managerial issues in the tool. Integrate other operations, such as crew handling, rolling stock management, rake linking and capacity management with the transportation scheduling module and explore the possibility of administering the tool for some of the actual operational support in a few Indian railway organizations |
