The objective of this study is to look at the scope of applications for facilitating managerial decision making by data mining on time series and streaming databases.
Time series and streaming databases play an extremely important role in a vast range of domains. Moreover, with presence of high volumes of real-time data from network sensors in a grid, they also provide a promise for real-time optimization and prediction. The complexity of mining time-series and streaming databases is more than that of static datasets. One area of particular interest will be the applicability of mining the given data series in right time or in the presence of user-defined time bounded constraints. |
