In the light of recent interest in emotional intelligence, there have been several attempts to measure it. However, all these measures have been developed in the United States and the scoring procedure is driven by the display behaviour norms accepted within the cultural context. To be able to develop a basic understanding, a cross-cultural study is being planned across 20 countries to study display behaviours that are accepted within the culture for various emotions. |
